Alejandro Gonzalez, an associate attorney at Quintero Broche, P.A., was previously a law clerk for the Firm for two (2) years.
Mr. Gonzalez, was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. Mr. Gonzalez graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 2008 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the Honors College at Florida International University in 2010. Mr. Gonzalez was able to excel in his undergraduate studies, graduating with honors, while maintaining an active involvement on campus and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in just two (2) years. Mr. Gonzalez was a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a National Honors and Leadership Organization at FIU, as well as chairing and being involved in multiple committees for Sigma Phi Epsilon. After his graduation from FIU, Mr. Gonzalez pursued a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami. Mr. Gonzalez was a student intern and Fellow of the Miami Law Innocence Clinic, where he worked on numerous high profile post-conviction matters, including the appeal of John Connolly. Mr. Gonzalez also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Circuit Court Judge Ellen Sue Venzer, Eleventh Judicial Circuit, in both the civil and criminal division.
Upon his early graduation with honors (Cum Laude) from the University of Miami School of Law, and prompt admission to the Florida Bar in 2014, Mr. Gonzalez became an associate at Quintero Broche, P.A. Mr. Gonzalez represents defendants charged with all types of criminal offenses, as well as representing clients in a variety of civil matters. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez has expanded the Firm’s Appellate practice division and handles appeals at both the State and Federal levels. Mr. Gonzalez handles all types of Title IX and University disciplinary proceedings. In fact, Mr. Gonzalez recently obtained a finding of “Not Responsible” for a male university student accused of several serious violations, including a charge of sexual assault/battery. Due to the one-sided nature of these proceedings, Mr. Gonzalez’ recent success on behalf client was the first favorable finding in connection with a claim of sexual assault/battery that the University had reached in the past six (6) years.
